Our work in Ukraine:
In Partnership with BASE UA
In partnership with the Ukrainian organization BASE UA deepsolidarity e.V. supports direct humanitarian aid in Ukraine’s Donetsk region. With a local team in the east and a central office in Kyiv, BASE UA operates with Ukrainian and international volunteers, allowing for flexible and rapid action.
Ongoing efforts include evacuations from frontline areas, support for displaced families, and a cultural center in Kramatorsk where children and teenagers find safety, learning, and psychological support. Projects such as house reconstruction and a mobile Primary Health Care unit are currently on pause but remain part of the long-term vision.
Evacuation remains the core focus, with safety protocols adapted daily to the shifting frontline. Through close cooperation with local partners, BASE UA responds quickly to emergencies and ensures aid reaches those in need—even under the most challenging conditions.
Solidarity for Gaza:
Together with the Lemon Tree Collective
In partnership with the Lemon Tree Collective deepsolidarity e.V. is committed to providing rapid and direct aid in Gaza, Egypt, and Syria.
The initiative was founded in early 2024 by Helen Fares to evacuate seriously ill children, adults, and pregnant women from Gaza.
Today, the collective is involved in three projects in Egypt, Gaza, and on the Syrian coast. In Gaza, families are provided with food and clean drinking water; in Egypt, families who have fled Gaza are supported with rent payments; and in Syria, families affected by poverty are provided with food parcels.
The Lemon Tree Collective stands for swift, supportive action with a clear focus on justice and the needs of the people affected on the ground.
